Inlays and Onlays

Dental Inlays and Onlays – Comprehensive Cosmetic Dentistry in Wall NJ

A Dental Inlay is considered an indirect filling. It acts like a filling but lies only inside the cusp tips of the tooth, repairing the chewing surface. Inlays generally require at least two visits. In the first visit the damage is removed and a temporary filling put into place. An impression is taken at that time.

Porcelain is used as the material that makes the inlay. During the second visit, the temporary filling is removed and the inlay will be checked and permanently put into place.  Inlays last longer then traditional fillings, and don’t weaken the tooth as much as a traditional filling does. Dr. Mancino has many years of experience with this procedure.

Comprehensive Cosmetic Dentistry offers other services to patients besides inlays and onlays.  You can read more about tooth colored fillings, dental implants, crowns, and computerized dentures we offer to patients.
